The forum is a free and informal event for public servants who work on releasing and consuming Government Open Data for public access to stay informed of case studies across government, learn about new projects, tools and skills, share experiences and more.
GovHack WA was held at FLUX, Perth's newest co-working space in late July. This highly anticipated event attracted 120 top local hackers with an impressive prize pool of $30,000. There were 16 winning teams and four individual champions, with more winners to be announced in the coming weeks.
The Open Data WA team have been working closely over the past few months with our colleagues on the SLIP team to make their treasure trove of WA Government geospatial data more easily discoverable on data.wa.gov.au.
